My dear Mr. Frick: The payment for the Holbein portrait is to made to the Deacons = Williams bank, London, through Brome Brothers. as of course you know the amount is $215,000. There was a delay about the reply to my cable asking for definite advice for the phrasing of the face of the draft, but it came in today definitely stating the above form. No news has been received of poor Sir Hugh. It looks hopeless. I hope you have received the Red Cap Titian. It was due to
