NEW YORK, 556 & 558, FIFTH AVENUE. PARIS, 23, PLACE VENDÔME. CABLE ADDRESSES KNOEDLER, LONDON. KNOEDLER, NEW YORK. KNOEDLER, PARIS. TELEPHONE 2514 MAYFAIR.

Per S. S. "New York". 15, OLD BOND STREET, LONDON, W. 6th July 1912.

Dear Mr. Frick,

Your letters of June 17th and 20th to hand. Very glad to

hear your golf is improving. I also have been playing rather well lately. We will have a "bataille royale" upon my return.

It is most unfortunate and I wish now I had shipped it from England, which I did not do as all our shipments are made via Havre. The companies in England are dreadful robbers. At the time Charlie Williams took this picture to America they charged him 2,500 dollars freight, and I resent very much paying these exorbitant charges, which are unjustified, and the result of the shipping trust. I hope you [end of page]
