The Murillo is one of the finest pictures we have ever possessed. I have written Roland to show you a photograph of it, it comes from the famous Leuchtenberg collection + hung in the Hermitage for years together with your Isaac Ostada and Mr Terrell's Rembrandt and it is a picture you really must have. It is most sympathetic + distinguished. The "Nattier" is one of his finest examples, I bought it while in Paris am having a photograph which I will send as soon as finished. It is fresh from a collection or rather the family at Rheims + is finer + more agreeable than either the one in the Metropolitan or Otto Kahn's, it is really beautiful I will write about it further when I get the photograph - What I particularly wished to call your attention to is a beautiful example by Lancret which is to be sold the 30th of this month in Paris by auction, the property of Madame Say, the Sugar Refinery people who were received
