Mr. McE Fls? note

Pride's Crossing, Massachusetts, August 22, 1908. Dear Mr. Carstairs: I am just in receipt of your valued favor of the fourteenth. I will instruct Mr. McElroy in Pittsburgh to send you, on October the sixth, a check for the Constable. Is there anything else of great importance that you have in the picture line? I feel rather in the humor of buying some ^thing more this summer, but it mus be very important. Mr. Widener, while here, talked of a picture owned by Agnew and supposed to be painted by Gainsborough, called "The Cottage Girl". What would you think of that? Yours sincerely, To Mr. C. S. Carstairs, 15 Old Bond St., W. London, Eng.
