mind will be at ease + I will at least feel that I have given you the opportunity of owning them - This naturally is very confidential., when I hear from you I will instruct our New York house about delivering them to Scott + Fowles - I trust by this time you have received your Corot and Maris. I can imagine the pleasure you will derive from them. I saw the Gainsborough you sent me photograph of. A good interesting picture but they are asking 4 to 5 times its value - Have been having some splendid gold at La Boulie? played with Addensill, who you met in New York, yesterday and today - We have had a wonderful September, yesterday was like August. With kind regards Yours Sincerely X Charles Carstairs
Please do not speak about the Reynolds to anyone
