Dear Sir:-

       We thank you for your favor of the 24th instant with draft

No. 13735 on Bankers Trust Company, New York, for $100,000, which, with the two notes of $125,000 and $250,000 respectively, and the Valesquez returned, as per your receipted voucher, are in settlement of the two paintings by Veronese and the Van Dyck.
