Dear Mr. Frick We thank you for your remittance offer 26000, which we are placing to the credit of your account. We acknowledge your offers as follows: One hundred and ten thousand dollars for Romney's "Nature" or "Lady Hamilton with a dog" and ninety thousand dollars for Lawrence's "Lady Peel", in each case delivered at your apartment in New York, or your residence in Pittsburgh, as you may elect. Hoping that our negotiations in your behalf will be successful, and that we will secure these two great English portraits for your collection. Believe us Sincerely, M. Knoedler
