I wish you could have seen this fine picture as I think you would have bought it. We have also bought Turner's "Burning of the Houses of Lords + Commons, Oct 16th, 1834" which comes from the same collection. It is the same size as your "Mortlake" and "Antwerp" was exhibited in the Exhibition of 1835 the year it was painted. It is a very beautiful dramatic work – We have been having the most wretched weather here nothing but rain since the beginning of June – Hope you are more fortunate in New England – With kind regards Yours Sincerely C.
