My dear Mr Frick, I received your 2 cables would have answered the 1st immediately but cabled N.Y. for information - We have had word from them today + the pictures viz Gainsborough, Van Dyck, Turner, and Greco will leave next week. The Carlisle Van Dyck isn't ready, the copy isn't quite finished + will then have to go to Hane's? it may take another month. We must pay for it in full next week in order to take possession of it, couldn't arrange it in any other way. We paid £5,000 a couple of months ago to bind the bargain - Please
