Dear Sir:- We are in receipt of your favor of the 18th inst., as well as the letter from Mr. Gardner Teall concerning the reproduction of your Rembrandt. As far as we know, this man is all right, and we have written him today that we will loan him the photograph at his convenience. We take this opportunity of letting you know that we called for the painting by J. Maris, "The Bridge", and Mr. Hickey refused to deliver it without a card from you. Very truly yours, M. Knodler +Co.
