January 2, 1912. My dear Mr. Tarbell: Replying to your favor of the 27th, I would like to let you have the pictures you want for the Copley Society, but I could not consent to loan them unless they are to be exhibited in a fireproof building. If they have such a building, I will arrange before I leave with Messrs. Knoedler & Company to let you have the two Velasquez and the Greco sent to Rome. If you want the other Greco, it is at Prides Crossing, and I could possibly arrange in some way to let you have that. With best wishes for the New Year, and hoping we may have many a game of golf together next summer. Yours very sincerely,
