A PAIR OF MAZARIN BLUE VASES AND COVERS. ________________________________________

A pair of fine old Chinese baluster shaped vases with covers, of the Kang Hsi period, 1662 to 1723, decorated with flowers, & e., in the colours of the famille rose, in panels upon a Mazarin blue ground, together with modern carved and gilt wood stands. One of the vases has a slight imperfection. Purchased from the Marquis of Hertford in 1846 by Mr. Dick, from whom they descended, through his mother, to the Right Honorable William Long, M. P.
