Office of H.C. Frick Received May 19 1911

May 18, 1911

Mr. F. W. McElroy, Frick Building, Pittsburg, Pa.

Dear Mr. McElroy:-

We are in receipt of your favor of the 13th instant repaintings by Thanlow.
It is quite likely that Mr. Frick bought "Shenango River" from the artists when he was in Pittsburg, where he served on the International Jury of Painters several years ago.
We enclose a list of the paintings by Thanlow that we sold to Mr. Frick, and the ones we have taken back in different transactions.
Perhaps the missing ones are at Pride's. There were some left in the Pittsburgh house, and I suppose the best thing to do would be to check up what you have out there and ask Holroyd to do the same at Pride's.
Hoping the above information will answer your purpose, I am,
    Very truly yours,
    Thomas Gerrity
