JOHN WANAMAKER, PHILADELPHIA.

Jan 9th 1888

H. C. Frick Esq.

My Dear Sir

I duly received yours of the 22d ult. ULTIMO and deposited your cheque on the 27th and remitted on the 28th through Lazard Freres their bill of Exchange for 27000 ?? Marke to Eduard Schulte. I hand you within advice and duplicate of draft ?? . This leaves a balance due you of $303.75 for which I beg to hand you my cheque.

I may add that I found a very little scrap of a painting by Meyer von Bremen for which I paid $1800. showing that I am still faithful in my love for that great Artist, whose works must grow scarcer and scarcer.

I hope this finds you well.

I send my best regards for your wife your mother and sister and hope to see you when you are in Philadelphia.

Yours truly

John Wanamaker
