3 COROT, JEAN BAPTISTE CAMILLE 1796-1875 LE MATIN, LAC DE GARDE - In the foreground on the edge of the lake to the left, a man in a boat, to the right seated figure of a woman. Overlooking lake in the distance several houses are seen, one with a domed top, misty morning. Mentioned in the text of "The Barbizon School," by Thompson, p. 65, and illustrated in etching opposite p. 16. Exhibited Edinburgh International Exhibition, 1886, No. 6.
