Dear Mr Frick,


I heard from Tom today the prints you took were very good in fact they were a fine lot all through.


I am writing to tell you that I sold Widener when in Paris the 3 Van Dycks. "The Lady & Parasol" & the 2 children.


My feelings on the subject are somewhat mixed - I always expected you to take this great picture & longed to see it in your gallery & in your possession.


It will look well in the Widener Gallery & it needed big surroundings.


I had no opportunity to cable you on the subject or should have done so.
