My dear Mr. Frick
Mr. Gardner Lane. the President of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and Mr. Fairbanks the Director, are delighted to have the three pictures of the Egyptian tomb. which you brought of me the other day in Dublin.
They hope the gift is not to be anonymous, and wish to thank
you for your kindness.  May I not let them and the Trustees of the Museum know that you are the anonymous
friend?

Sincerely yours
Joseph Lindon Smith
