January 9th, 1900.
My Dear Mr. Simon:
I am in receipt of yours of the 29th ultimo. "The Moonlight", by Thaulow, has not yet been received.
I regret to say the portrait of my son, by Dagnan, is not liked by any of our friends. It does not grow on acquaintance. I certainly trust the large picture he is painting will prove to be a success.
With the compliments of the Season, believe me
Yours very truly,
(Signed) H. C. Frick.
To MR. EDMOND SIMON,
