Dear Sir,
I wrote to Dr. James Simon and asked him if he could be tempted to sell his Vermeer, and what he would think of an offer of £50,000.
He replies that no offer would tempt him to sell the Vermeer, and that he has already refused an offer of £50,000 several times.
Yours faithfully,
Arthur J. Sulley
