heiress, the above Frances Duncombe and her step-sister, Anne Daughter of Baron Feversham be his third wife in ink: , ( Anne daughter of Sir Thomas Hales in ink: ). The in ink and underlined: ^D d̶owager Lady Feversham married in ink: secondly, s̶s̶c̶h̶i̶s̶l̶y̶ as his third wife in ink: , 23 July 1765, William 1st Earl of Radnor; a̶n̶d̶ about 1775 the Hon. Frances Duncombe was betrothed to Jacob the eldest son of the 1st Earl of Radnor by his fi rst wife. It is said (see "Catalogue of Pictures in the Collection of the Earl of Radnor," 1909, Vol ii, p. 84) that her underlined: fiancé, Jacob, then Viscount Folkestone, intercepted a letter to her from a Mr. Arabin and that while the family were dining together in Grosvenor Street, London, Lord Radnor handed her the letter, saying "What is the meaning of this; what have I or my son done to you that you should treat us in this manner, Miss Duncombe?" in graphite in margin: omit She fainted and was turned out of the house in graphite: , and the engagement broken off.On 24 January 1777 Jacob 2nd Earl of Radnor married his discarded underlined: fiancée's step-sister the Hon. Anne Duncombe, and thus became in ink: his step-mother's b̶o̶t̶h̶ ̶s̶t̶e̶p̶-̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ son-in-law. o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶D̶o̶w̶a̶g̶e̶r̶ ̶L̶a̶d̶y̶ ̶F̶e̶v̶e̶r̶s̶h̶a̶m̶.̶ The Hon. Frances Duncombe is said to have lived at one time under the protection of an Elector of some German state
