My dear Mr Frick
Your two letters to hand. Mr Knoedler is absent for a few days.
It is well understood that we insure and prepay expressage on pictures from New York to Pittsburgh & that your responsibility commences only when same are delivered.
I think we have fully instructed our New York house as to shipment of same and that everything will be satisfactory.
Am glad to know that you saw Mr Forbes collection and that after seeing it you are so much pleased with your recent purchases. The more you see the greater satisfaction you will take in your Daubigny and Diaz.
Enclose you the receipted bill which we have paid and charged to your a/c as requested.
Have not yet succeeded in finding any cigars quite large enough for R. but am trying
Trust you will have a pleasant voyage and with kind regards to Mrs Frick & the children I am
Yours Sincerely
Chas. S. Carstairs
