April 24th, 1900.
Mr. H. C. Frick,
Carnegie Building,
Pittsburg, Pa.
Dear Mr. Frick:
Your favor of the 3rd instant with check to my order
for $3600. is at hand. I have placed same to the credit of R. W. van
Boskerck, who has written to his brokers for a statement of his indebtediness SIC
in connection with 100 shares of National Steel, common,
which he is to settle for and deliver to me, and I am to forward the
same to you as soon as received.
Friend 'Bob' was just in and is greatly relieved, thanks to your
liberality, and says that he can now go abroad and enjoy the hospitality
of the Royal Family and the Paris Universal Exposition. He
fully appreciates your friendly interest in his behalf.
I received another charming letter from Helen. As she is very
busy I do not like to take up so much of her valuable time, but beg
of you to thank her for her sweet epistle.
'Bob' and myself hope you will wire us when Plate Glass reaches 200.
With kind rememberances SIC to Mrs. Frick and the family, believe me,
Very sincerely yours,
SIGNED Roland F. Knoedler
