Dear Mr. Frick:-
I hope you reached home safely and found your family well.
Herewith enclosed I beg to send you Thaulow's latest production.
It is very different from anything that you have. The
size is 25 1/2 x 31 7/8. Herewith extract of letter written by our
Mr. Hamman of Paris, who selected the painting. It is a clear night
on a Canal of Venice. It is a good salable picture, very attractive,
and not too dark.
Hoping you will find this a worthy addition to your very
fine paintings by this popular master, I remain,
Yours very sincerely,
SIGNED Chas. L. Knoedler.
