Henry C. Frick Esq
Dear Sir
The Copley Society of Boston is to have a
very important exhibition of Spanish pictures
which will open in Copley Hall of February
28th 1912; and I am writing at the request
of the Committee in charge to ask if you
would not lend us your portrait of
Philip IV and your head of a young girl by
Velasquez and your head of a man by
El Greco? Of course we would take
every precaution possible for the safety
of the pictures while in our care, and pay
all expenses connected with them if you
felt that you could let them come. It is
perhaps needless for me to say anything
