Dear Mr. Frick, I have to-day purchased the underlined in blue: Rubens in red ink: ✓ for £3000. I do not ? how it will be ? of yr. ? marketprices - you know you have set a stiff standard & quite rightly - but I think it worthy as an excellent example of Ruben's ? name. In any case I think it is a bargain and that you can at any time dispose of it at nearly double the ? you give. Mr. Claude Phillips ? of the Wallace Gallery and Mr. Holmes of the National Portrait Gallery both agreed ? by attribution
