THE EHRICH GALLERIES "Old Masters" 707 FIFTH AVENUE NEW YORK

December 14, 1914.

Dear Mr. Frick:

In accordance with our conversation this morning we are sending you herewith our Portrait of El Condo de Teba by Francisco Goya for your consideration.

Enclosed you will find two photographs of the painting, with the original endorsement on the back by Dr. Valerian von Loga of the Kaiser Friedrich Museum and Dr. August L. Mayer of the Munich Pinacothek. These two men are considered the most eminent critics on Goya, and needless to say their word would never by questioned. We also absolutely guarantee the painting to be an original and not a copy and painted by Francisco Goya.

Feeling sure that the painting will please you even more after having it about you for a time, I remain

Very truly yours, H.L. Ehrich.

Henry C. Frick, Esq. Fifth Avenue & 70th Street New York City
