Mr. F. W. McElroy, Frick Building, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Dear Mr. McElroy:-

I received a cable from London this morning informing me that Mr. Frick was cabling you regarding the $125,000 due on the 30th instant, and also about the First National guarantee, and that I was to renew each of the above for nine months.

I will go to see the first SIC National people tomorrow morning, as I presume they will have heard from you by that time.

I am enclosing our note dated April 30th, 1911 CORRECTED TEXT 1912 /CORRECTED TEXT at nine months, for $125,000, in settlement of our note of like amount maturing on the 30th instant, which you will please return us.

Kindly let me know what rate of interest you will charge us on this new note, and we will send you a check for same.

I am sailing for Europe on Tuesday morning, and presume that everything is satisfactorily arranged.
