LETTERHEAD M. KNOEDLER & CO., SUCCESSORS TO GOUPIL & CO., 355 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK. CABLE ADDRESSES. KNOEDLER _ NEW YORK. KNOEDLER _ PARIS. PARIS OFFICE, 2 RUE GLÜCK. /LETTERHEAD

February 18, 1902.

Mr. H. C. Frick, Pittsburg, Pa.

Dear Mr. Frick:

My friend Gourd has obtained from the French Consul the information asked by Miss Ogiz for George. If there is anything further that you want in this matter, please let me know.

As regards William, the head waiter, I have not been able to get much satisfactory information. He is well spoken of as far as honesty goes. I am told that he would probably be a better second man than a first one, as he lacks executive ability. I was told that Phillip at Delmonico's, whom you know, might accept a good position were it offered to him. He has been at Delmonico's about thirty years, and I think, though his physique may not be as prepossessing as others, that he ought to be a very good man, thoroughly acquainted with the restaurant business in all its details.

From the enclosed clipping I infer that Mr. Weiller and his companion were nicely received by you.

I was sorry to learn that Helen had lost another one of her birds. She must feel very badly and I wish you would express my sympathy to her.

With kind regards, believe me,

Very truly yours,

SIGNED Roland F. Knoedler

P. S. I have secured tickets for Mrs. Frick & yourself for the PRINCE?? Henry performance at the Opera & hope you will both be able to go with me
