THE UNION TRUST COMPANY OF PITTSBURGH. March 20th, 1914.

stamp: MAR 24 1914 FORWARDED REFERED ANSWERED Dear Mr. Frick: I have just returned from answering a telephone call to stop in at Gillespies, and to my surprise and delight I find there the picture painted by Mauve, that I admired so much at your home in New York, with instructions to deliver the same to my home. I do not know what to say to you about this, but I wish you to understand that I am simply overwhelmed by your kindness in sending this picture to me, and I do hope you will understand how very much I appreciate the spirit and kindness in sending this very valuable gift to me. Very sincerely yours, signed: H.C. McEldowney
