Dear Mr. Frick,

Just a few lines to say that Col. Ochiltice wanted to know why I did not tell him that you were in town as he was very anxious to see you; I told him that I could not have guessed it, and that you generally arrived in the morning and went back at night of course kept busy all the time you were here; he wanted to know your address I told him I knew no other than Pittsburgh Pa, so I suppose you will hear from him shortly. He had dinner he said with John W. Mackay Saturday & he gave him some pointers & etc.

(2000 frs) you were so kind to loan me at Aix, at once, but you know I draw but $50- weekly so will have to save up, then I will send a little check for the above. please be lenient with me, and I hate to ask you to wait but such is the case, unless I can call in some of my large loans to numerous friends of mine.
