LETTERHEAD M. KNOEDLER & CO., SUCCESSORS TO GOUPIL & CO., 355 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK. CABLE ADDRESSES. KNOEDLER _ NEW YORK. KNOEDLER _ PARIS. PARIS OFFICE, 2 RUE GLÜCK. /LETTERHEAD

The "Wood Gatherers" No. 169 is to be sold this evening and I will bid up to $4000.- or a little more, seeing how it goes, but if it fetches considerably more will not secure it, as I think you could do better some other time. Will wire you this evening after the sale if I get it.

Do you wish me to ship the picture at once, or shall I keep it here? Whenever you are ready to dispose of yours, have our Mr. Rawlins in your city call for them and have them packed.

Hoping your family is very well, as usual, and that Mrs. Holmes has recovered, I remain,

Yours very sincerely,

SIGNED Chas. L. Knoedler.
