LETTERHEAD M. KNOEDLER & CO., SUCCESSORS TO GOUPIL & CO., 355 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK. CABLE ADDRESSES. KNOEDLER _ NEW YORK. KNOEDLER _ PARIS. PARIS OFFICE, 2 RUE GLÜCK. /LETTERHEAD
Dec. 9th, 1898
Dear Mr. Frick,
Just a few lines to say that as the weather was beautiful in Boston yesterday I had another look at the ship. She is beautiful in color - almost too brilliant. some people might object somewhat to certain points of the composition but it is glorious piece of color. A mail from Porto Rico is expected tomorrow. should there be no letter in reply to me, written by Chase I have instructed him to cable.

The lady whom I saw again said that the mails had been very irregular of late - that her husband had not mentioned anything to her about the ship which leads me to suppose that when he last wrote he had not received Chase's letter.
Excuse these hurried lines & believe me
Very sincerely
SIGNED Roland F. Knoedler
P.S. I may have something else to speak to you about .
