Oct. 27th, 1898.

Mr. H. C. Frick, Carnegie Bldg., Pittsburgh, Pa.

Dear Mr. Frick:-

I found at the office this morning your two favors of the 26th inst.

I will instruct our Paris office to attend to the delivery, free of all charges to Mr. Thaulow, whatever you will send for him.

I will be pleased to look over the plans of the proposed Art Gallery with Mr. Hiss.

I will explain all that you say to Thaulow, and will see that you get in the regular way one of the pictures that he will select. Permit me to say however, that should he insist upon presenting Mrs. Frick with a "souvenir" I do not see how you could object without hurting his feelings.

My visit to Boston was very satisfactory. The weather was bad, but I saw the ship. It is a gorgeous piece of color. The owner of it is in Porto SIC Rico. His wife could not give any particulars, but said that her father-in-law, who lives in the country, knew her husbands intentions.
