Mr. H. C. Frick, Pittsburg, Pa.

Dear Mr. Frick,

After lunch today I saw Blakeslee , the dealer, who is closely connected with Mr. C. Lambert, the owner of the five paintings by Teniers. Mr. L. had evidently spoken to him about my recent correspondence with him in your behalf for the five paintings. Blakeslee said that someone else was interested in the pictures, but that Mr. L. had given me until this evening so that I could communicate with my client. I thought that the best thing to do was to call you up on the phone and lay the matter before you. Blakeslee told me htat Mr. L. had received a letter from Messrs. Durand-Ruel concerning these pictures but that he did not know for whom the inquiry was made. Since telephoning you I have received the enclosed letter from Mr. Lambert which please return to me.

I received a very nice letter from Mrs. Ely making suggestions about the framing of her son's portrait. The following extract will interest you. "Papas portrait has arrived and grows on me all the time".

With kind regards to the family, believe me,

Yours very truly,

SIGNED Roland F. Knoedler
