My dear Carstairs:
I note with interest your favor of the 13th with its enclosure. I think I will have to go to Harrogate sometime.
I am having quite a pleasant summer, - feeling first-class, a game of golf daily hoping every day that I am going to do better the next. It is remarkable that I never become discouraged, although I think my game this year is worse than it has ever been.
I think you wrote me that you expect to sail on September 15th. If you should come over at that time, or later, we will be glad to have you come and spend a week with us.

P.S. Roche brought up the last frame today, the one for the Ziem. The Millets look particularly well since they have been reframed, and the Cotes greatly improved - in fact, everything you suggested has turned out quite satisfactorily, confirming the opinion I have always had of your artistic ability.
