[begin page 2 of 2] the downs are quite beautiful. I had 18 splendid holes this mn’g [morning]. It is beautiful country & the view of the sea is splendid. Roland is away on his holiday & writes that it is doing him lots of good.

I expect to sail 7th Novr. [November]. Will you still be at Prides? I should love to have some golf with you at Myopia. I always remember our contests of last year.
