February 20, 1902.

Mr. H. C. Frick, Pittsburg, Pa.

Dear Sir:

I thank you for your check of $1140.19, being five per cent profit, as per your voucher, which I herewith return duly receipted.

Mr SIC friend Gourd tells me that if George has any papers to obtain from the French government he ought to apply to the French Consular agent in your city, who is dependent of the French-Vice Consul in Philadelphia.

Thanking you again for your kindness in subscribing for me to the U. S. Steel Syndicate, believe me,

Sincerely,

SIGNED Roland F. Knoedler
