[begin page 2 of 2] raid of Wednesday. They dropped about 35 bombs and did considerable damage in the city it was very frightening. I tell you hearing the 3 big guns go off practically at ones door, I thought we were being bombarded by the entire German Army. London seems to take it, however, very calmly.

I spent 5 days at North Berwick, one of the most beautiful spots I have ever seen about ten golf courses, you must go there some time the golf would delight you.
