tomorrow to Biarritz.

I went to Holroyd's private rooms where the "Mill" was quietly reposing and took a good look at it in a bright sunny day and couldn't help but regret I was not to see it often in your gallery. Lord Lansdowne & his son came in to see Holroyd while I was there & took a last look at his departing masterpiece. No one has an idea who bought it. I wonder could it be Duveen? If so you might still have a chance to procure it. Dont let price stand in the way for it is underlined priceless end underline Should I hear anything I will let you know. I should imagine if a dealer, that it would disappear for a couple of months to be carefully cleaned, which it needs. I presume you are getting some golf now, dont let Grier beat you, he really knows nothing about the game.

Sincerely

Charlie Carstairs
