Dear Mr. Frick.


You must forgive me for returning to the charge about the Van Dyck and Tintoretto portraits but both are of such exceptional merit that I feel I am justified. I showed them to Mr. John G. Johnson while he was in town and he was full of enthusiasm and said that he wld. recommend them vy dcidedly
