Your letter announcing the sailing for Europe of the Byers family came duly to hand yesterday. | |||
Your letter announcing the sailing for Europe of the Byers family came duly to hand yesterday. Thank you for your kind thought for us and interest in our affairs. I was delighted to hear of it as I have often thought it would be an immense amount of pleasure for him to see such collections as Chauchard's, Thierry's etc where such high quality pictures are to be found & I think he will be better pleased with some of his own. I cabled you asking you to ascertain his banker and cable us. I trust this has not put you to any trouble. I would not want to miss him. | |||
You will be glad to learn that we have been doing some business since you [left]. | |||
Have sold in addition to a number of inexpensive pictures the Kums Millet Segond Corot (The 2 pictures you saw at Le Roy's), Donatis Corot (you saw at Obachs) & the Troyon "Going to Market" | |||

Your letter announcing the sailing for Europe of the Byers family came duly to hand yesterday. Thank you for your kind thought for us and interest in our affairs.
