September 15, 1905.
Mr. F. W. McElroy,
Frick Building,
Pittsburg, Pa.
Dear Mr. McElroy:
Your telegram received today after I had sent mine to Mr.
Frick, which no doubt you know about.
The pictures arrived in good condition, and track No. 13 did
not prove to be my hoodoo. As Mr. Roach and myself told you yesterday,
we would both stake our lives on the pictures arriving safely,
barring a railroad accident, as we took every precaution in handling
and packing them. As a matter of fact, we got in the car this morning
and you would never have known the car had left the Lake Erie
Depot in Pittsburg. Everything seemed to be in such good shape. We
delivered them at Mr. Frick's house about twelve o'clock, and have our
men at work repairing the frames.
The three casks of china we also delivered and put in the
cellar, as directed by Holroyd.
The trunk of silver we have here in our vault and will hold
it subject to your instructions.
The matter you spoke to me about I tried to get the information
but failed for the present. Will let you know immediately
