A Sixteenth Century Italian Portrait of a Lady; represented at three-quarter length, turned toward the right, with hands joined before her; she wears a dark, closely-fitting decollete gown with loose sleeves, which are further extended in width by huge puffs in light material turned back from each forearm; she is gazing towards the left and upon her head is closely fitting frilled cap; Around her neck are a jeweled necklace, and a fine chain presumably supporting a token.
